Who We Are
Stray Paws is a volunteer-based cat rescue initiative located on the campus of Jiangsu University of Technology in Changzhou, Jiangsu, China.
Around 120 stray cats currently live across the campus. Some have been here for years, while others were abandoned or born outdoors. With the help of students, volunteers, and animal lovers, we try to make their lives safer, healthier, and a little more comfortable.
Every cat has a different personality and a different story. Some are friendly and enjoy being around people, while others are still learning to trust humans. Our goal is to give each of them the care they need while helping more people understand and care about stray animals.
What We Do
Daily Feeding & Care
Our volunteers regularly provide food and clean water for cats living in different areas of the campus. We also keep an eye on their health and living conditions during our daily visits.
Medical Rescue
When a cat is injured, sick, or in need of urgent help, we arrange veterinary treatment whenever possible.
This may include examinations, medication, wound treatment, surgery, and follow-up care during recovery.
Sterilization
Sterilization is one of the most important parts of our work.
We help arrange spaying and neutering for campus cats to reduce uncontrolled breeding and improve their long-term health and welfare.
Adoption & New Homes
For cats that are suitable for living with people, we hope to help them find responsible and loving homes.
Before adoption, we try to learn more about each cat's personality, health condition, and daily habits so that potential adopters can understand them better.

There are around 120 cats living on our campus, and each one has its own story.
Some were born here. Some were abandoned. Some have recovered from illness or injury, while others have slowly grown from frightened stray cats into familiar faces around the campus.

Caring for a large number of stray cats requires time, patience, and ongoing support.

Our Hope
We may not be able to change the lives of every stray animal, but we can change the world for the ones we meet.
Our hope is to create a safer environment for the cats living on our campus, provide medical care when they need it, control the stray population through responsible sterilization, and help suitable cats find permanent homes.
Most importantly, we hope that more people will see stray cats not simply as animals passing through the campus, but as individual lives worth caring about.
